Bảng xếp hạng đại học thế giới Quacquarelli Symonds, tiếng Anh: QS World University Rankings, là bảng xếp hạng thường niên về thứ hạng các trường đại học trên thế giới của tổ chức giáo dục Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) – Anh Quốc.

Bảng xếp hạng đại học thế giới QS được đánh giá là một trong những bảng xếp hạng có uy tín và ảnh hưởng hàng đầu thế giới.

Năm nay, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University và Stanford University vẫn tiếp tục giữ vững ngôi vị top 3 các trường đại học hàng đầu thế giới.

2/ 100 đại học hàng đầu thế giới – Times Higher Education

Times Higher Education là tạp chí về tin tức và các vấn đề giáo dục bậc cao, trụ sở ở London. Tạp chí nổi tiếng nhờ công bố bảng xếp hạng đại học thế giới hàng năm từ năm 2004. Bảng xếp hạng được sinh viên, nhà khoa học, lãnh đạo đại học, chủ doanh nghiệp và các chính phủ tin cậy.

THE sử dụng 13 chỉ số đã được hiệu chuẩn nhằm cung cấp so sánh toàn diện và cân bằng. Các chỉ số được chia thành năm nhóm: giảng dạy (môi trường học tập), nghiên cứu (số lượng, thu nhập và danh tiếng), trích dẫn khoa học (ảnh hưởng của nghiên cứu), triển vọng quốc tế (giảng viên, sinh viên và nghiên cứu), thu nhập nhờ chuyển giao tri thức.

Theo Tạp chí Times Higher Education (THE) , đại học Oxford, Anh quốc tiếp tục giữ vị trí top 1. Trong khi đó, năm nay đại học Cambridge bị California Institute of Technology vượt lên lấy lại vị trí thứ 2, yên vị ở vị trí thứ 3 trong bảng xếp hạng.

3/ 100 đại học hàng đầu thế giới – Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (

ARWU)

Shanghai Ranking Consultancy là một tổ chức độc lập nghiên cứu về giáo dục đại học không có mối liên hệ với bất kỳ trường đại học hoặc cơ quan chính phủ nào. Bảng xếp hạng này được công bố lần đầu tháng 6/2003 bởi Center for World-Class Universities, thuộc đại học Giao Thông Thượng Hải nhưng kể từ năm 2009 đã chuyển cho tổ chức Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.

Theo bảng xếp hạng ARWU 2019, có sự khác biệt khác với QS Ranking, Top 3 chỉ có 2 trường đại học của Mỹ là Harvard  và Stanford, top 3 thuộc về University of Cambridge của Anh quốc.
